Excellent food, lovely atmosphere. The staff are happy and attentive. Menu is large, however, everything is freshly cooked to order and worth the wait. Parking is a little tight when is busy. I would recommend booking a table. The bar area is dog friendly.
A pub with good food, good beer and lager, with pleasant atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal here. The landlord and landlady are very pleasant. It's about everything you want in an English pub.
I visited here for unfortunately a sad occasion, we had nibbles which to say the least was fantastic, from sausage rolls to chicken on the stick tasted like hone made. On a journey to the ladies I passed the dining area and me being me was nosey to check out the food on people's plates, every plate of food was very nicely placed on the plate, from nice thick brown chips to a very large pie of some sort, looked very enticing indeed, so if made a future date to visit again for a lunchtime meal with my family, one thing I know for sure, I will not be disappointed. The bar staff were very attentive and quick in taking our drink orders. All in all a very nice pub, very cosy also if your a smoker, there is an outside area where a heater is provided for those cold ciggy moments.
The bar was heaving but still the restaurant was quiet enough to be peaceful but loud enough to be alive. Comfortable seats, nice atmosphere and plenty of room between tables. Food was tasty and well chimed, and the menu varied. I'd eat there again, and if I did I'd remember two things.... Book a table cos it's busy and get there early to get a parking space cos its pretty tricky finding a space on the road outside.
I really dont know what happened to this place but service went down the hill ! Me and my friend have been to this pub several times but waiting almost 35 min to order food? I think its a bit too long. Than starter came after almost 15-20 min main dish was fairly on time when supposed to be but again to order dessert we couldnt find anyone who could even look out directions. I remember the service used to be much better here.
